Who receives data
Google Analytics 4. Google receives your IP address and browser details with each analytics request. It uses the IP address to estimate a location and does not log it in Analytics. Formspree. If you send a message through the contact form, it goes to Formspree, which delivers it to me. Nothing is sent until you submit.
Your choices
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and California, analytics stays off until you accept it in the banner. Everywhere else it runs by default. Your country and, in the United States, your state are estimated from your IP address by Netlify, my host, only to decide whether to show the banner. It is not stored.
In every region you can change your mind with the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer, and a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser is treated as a refusal of analytics.
